This Privacy Policy explains how CPL OF MNGS — a brand of [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], a company registered in Portugal with registered office at [ADDRESS, Portugal] and tax number (NIF) [NIF] ("we", "us") — processes personal data when you visit cplofmngs.com and when you use the SOUND application. We are the data controller for the processing described here, within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").

The short version

• The SOUND app processes your audio locally on your Mac and never records, stores, or transmits it. The app has no account system and sends us no analytics about what you listen to.
• On this website, the only personal data we ask for is your email address, and only when you request the SOUND download.
• We do not sell personal data. Ever.

1. Data we collect and why

a) Email address (download & updates)

When you request the SOUND download, we collect your email address to (i) send you the download link and (ii) send occasional emails about SOUND, such as significant updates. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you submit the form. You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by writing to us — withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

b) Correspondence

If you email us at contact@cplofmngs.com, we process your email address and message content to respond to you. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in handling enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

c) Technical logs

Our hosting infrastructure may process IP addresses and request metadata in short-lived server logs for security and reliability (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use advertising trackers.

d) The SOUND app

SOUND processes system audio in real time, entirely on your device, to apply the equalizer and routing you configure. This audio never reaches our servers. Your settings and presets are stored locally on your Mac; if you use preset syncing, presets are synced between your own devices through your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms — we have no access to them.

2. Processors and recipients

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our instructions: our website hosting provider and our email delivery provider [PROVIDER NAME — to be confirmed]. Where a provider is located outside the EU/EEA, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

3. Retention

• Email addresses on the SOUND list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
• Correspondence: as long as needed to handle the enquiry.
• Server logs: short rotation periods set by our hosting provider.

4. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact contact@cplofmngs.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Portugal this is the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) — www.cnpd.pt.

5. Children

Our website and app are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We may update this policy as the product or the law evolves. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced on this page.
