Place the vocal over its new context before restoring it. Low-level bleed may disappear under a beat. In exposed passages, use short fades, region gain or silence; aggressive noise reduction can turn breath and consonants brittle.
Long reverb belongs partly to the voice and partly to the original mix. Cut or mask only the tails that conflict with the new harmony instead of trying to make every soloed gap perfectly silent.
